Festival season is in full swing! We're headed up to Clifftop next weekend, aka the Appalachian String Band Festival, in West Virginia.

The weekend of August 10-11 will find us at Asheville, NC's Jack of the Wood pub, followed by Saturday at Stringtime in the Smokies, in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Then, we'll be off on a short tour of the upper midwest, with dates in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Indiana.

Check our calendar page for more info.

battleground and beyond - June 19, 2007

hi all,
we'll be at the Indiana Fiddlers' Gathering, near Lafayette, this weekend. We're looking forward to seeing the Foghorn Stringband, Dan Gellert, and many other old friends. All the band members will be giving workshops, including a squaredance calling workshop from Allison Williams.

In July, we'll be doing some great gigs in the Asheville area, including Jonesborough, TN's Music on the Square, and the Songcatcher series in the National Forest.
see you there!
the Diggers.

upcoming shows - April 30, 2007

hi everyone,
we just wanted to let you all know about some upcoming Forge Mountain Diggers shows!

this Thursday, May 3rd, we'll be at the Grey Eagle in Asheville, NC, with Uncle Monk, the acoustic project from punk legend Tommy Ramone.

Friday, May 4, we'll be opening for the wonderful Carolina Chocolate Drops, the vanguard of the African-American string band revival! Come out to Johnson City, TN's Down Home; this is going to be a great show.

Saturday, May 5, will find us at the Stone Mtn. Store, an old-fashioned general store run by bass diva Tammy Sawyer & her husband. if you live in the Wilkes County, NC area, this is a great chance to see a show without driving to the big city.

for more info about all these shows, visit our calendar page.

see you there!
love,
the diggers
